For Posterity's Sake... (May 24, 2009)

A very eventful week:
  • Went to the official mass to open the cause of Sanctification for Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos. I didn't know it was going on until I walked into the Basilica on Tuesday to a full house. It was very, very cool. I know cool isn't the best word for it, but it WAS cool. I also had raw oysters and a beer for lunch afterwards. It was a very good day.
  • For the first time, had to high-tail it out of a baseball game immediately after the last out to avoid some rowdy, irresponsible, and angry fans/parents. Also kind of cool, but in a completely different way.
  • Swam in the pool for the first time this summer.
  • Read a fair amount of Dostoevsky and wrote about it.
  • Listened to the new Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood live album. It is AWESOME.
  • Marinated a piece of beef in a mixture of beer, coke, and V8 (plus a lot of other stuff) for three days and then cooked it for about 4 hours at 200 degrees. Very tasty.
  • Pan fried green bananas. Ate them. Also tasty.
  • Last, but not least: I got a car. For zero dollars. w00t.
also, sidebar: If you didn't already know, my team blog project is now super famous. And international.
